We have stayed at Harry's home in Munich few years ago and choosing the Berlin one was logical. There is a budget shop on the left of the entrance (nothing works on Sunday in Germany) and an underground station on the right. There is a shopping mall just across the road. The neighborhood may not be like in the city centre but we felt safe and the transport links are great from there. When it works (i.e. no demonstrations in the city), the M10 tram takes you straight to the main train station in no time. Our rooms were facing the backyard so no street noise whatsoever. On some mornings I could hear (my wife not!) a buzzing sound in the yard like a vacuum cleaner or maybe a water jet (possibly from another building). Comfortable beds, practical storage (not much though), adequate Internet access, good aircon. Rooms are cleaned after 3 days but you can ask for clean towels if needed. We ate outside but the dining area looked cosy. Navigating between the two buildings can be a little confusing at first but you quickly get used to it. We arrived around midnight and had been given instructions on the day how to enter the hotel. One thing I would suggest is to add signs for how to reach the bigger number rooms (from what I remember, in the main building the smaller number rooms are clearly signposted but we had to take a bit of guessing to figure out that ours are in another part of the hotel (Garden House)). The receptionists were very helpful and polite, thank you! Overall a great choice for the price.

Fabian at reception was fantastic and helped me to check-in early and provided a really lovely “garden-house” apartment. This was amazing to be able to check in early since I was travelling with heavy luggage and really needed somewhere to rest. This assistance is something I really appreciate and won’t forget. The room was super clean, I had a beautiful view of the park and since it was not a street facing apartment it was lovely and quiet. The little balcony is private and has a chair and ashtray should one wish to smoke. The bathroom was also great, good shower pressure and a light up mirror to help with doing your makeup. There is a large closet with a safe. The wifi is good. It is also one of the rare apartment/hotel places that offer AC that actually works. Sparkling water, coffee and tea with creamer available in the little coffee nook. I opted in for the breakfast and was not disappointed. Lovely selection of classics. It’s located right next to the U-bahn and is a few metres away from the tram which was extremely useful. This metro station also has a lift to use which makes it much easier if you have luggage.

One of the nicest mid-range hotels I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean—looked brand new, even the public areas. I was in the garden wing, which meant it was at the back of the hotel with a balcony overlooking gardens, and sooo quiet! The situation of the hotel is perfect. It is across the street from the M10 tram, which gets you to the main train station in under 10 minutes, and from there you can get to and from the airport directly. And it is also next to a U-bahn station, so you can connect with the rest of Berlin by its very well-served public transport system with ease. The hotel staff were super-friendly and helpful. You could pay for breakfast separately, although I didn’t, as I don’t eat breakfast. I read some people thought 18 euro was expensive, but I think they had not been to Berlin before! I paid 10 euro for a cup of hot chocolate and a pastry at a coffee shop. It is a very expensive city. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. It is apparently part of a very small chain, and I will look out for it if I go to other cities it has hotels in.

Very clean and modern decor. Bed was massive for 1 person and very comfortable. Also had a classy wardrobe with safe. Balcony had chairs to sit out and enjoy the view of park and church. My room did face the street, which could get a little noisy (I had earplugs). Wifi was nice and strong. Bathroom was also massive with great water pressure. Lots of space for toiletries and a warming towel rack. Entranceway equipped with lots of pegs - great to be able to hang all the outerwear and accessories options. Check in was easy - staff is generally always there. Breakfast is 16 Euros if you prebook at check in. Had a ton of delicious options that are made that morning in house - highlight of my stay. U Bahn (the subway) is very close, only 100m away. The tram also runs directly in front of the hotel, right to the central train station and downtown area. Location can't be beat. There is a food hall/market nearby, and lots of other food options.

The room was spacious, very clean and kept to a high standard. No noise problems at all and slept very well given you are in the middle of a busy city. A big walk-in shower in the bathroom and plenty of room for storage of multiple suitcases within the rooms. The location was superb. The hotel is just across the street from the TurmstraBe tram stop where you can catch a tram and be at Berlin Hauptbanhof (main station) in 10 minutes, giving you access to the S-Bahn and U-Bahn networks via which you can explore the city. Also, right next to the hotel is the TurmstraBe U-bahn station that can also be accessed for further travel options. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods to suit your needs, from traditional breads, meats and cheeses, to cooked breakfast options, or healthy cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts etc.
